Pillow Mountain Introduction

From the alluvial plain around Baihua or nearby, looking towards Guanziling, one can see a mountain that resembles a pillow, which is Pillow Mountain. Due to mining and the erosion caused by rainwater, the cliff surface exhibits three large erosion marks that are quite noticeable from a distance, and some people refer to it as the Three Dragons. This mountain is composed entirely of limestone, originally a lens-shaped limestone interlayer of mudstone and sandstone, with most of its upper end (the pointed end) cut away due to mining, making it protrude from the surrounding mudstone and sandstone, resembling a pillow; hence the name Pillow Mountain. This limestone is bioclastic limestone, containing fossils of organisms such as corals and shells.
