KUNSHI BAY Cultural Park - Wan Huang Temple Introduction
Wang Huang Palace was built around 1739 and is dedicated to the main deities Ye, Zhu, and Li, who are the three royal elders of heaven. It serves as a local center of faith. The temple's architecture is modeled after a royal palace, making it magnificent and expansive. The internal paintings and carvings are all created by renowned masters, including works by Pan Lishui, Cai Caoru, and Shi Hongyi. The Wanghuang Palace King Boat Ceremony, held once every 12 years, is a significant event for the community. A super-sized altar and royal boat, as spectacular as the temple, are erected in the front square, making it a popular subject for cultural photographers. In recent years, the popularity of the "Happy Gathering" market in the Xi Tree settlement has also attracted more visitors for worship.
