Hsihua Hall Introduction

Located between Tainan Railway Station and Tainan Park, Xihua Hall can be considered a hidden gem amidst the bustling area. By passing through the busy main road and into a small alley, one seems to enter a tranquil world. Established in 1750, Xihua Hall is a temple of the Jiao Sect under the wing of the Weng Yongfeng faction, dedicated to the Three Treasures Buddha. There are still many practitioners residing here and engaging in religious activities. The serene and solemn atmosphere within Xihua Hall always brings a sense of inner peace. Despite its nearly 300 years of history, the architecture of Xihua Hall has remained quite intact, allowing visitors to feel transported back in time through its corridors, porches, and eaves. If you visit Tainan, don't rush to seek out street food right after leaving the train station; instead, come and see this perfect example of harmony between the urban landscape and historic sites.
