Former Tainan Patriotic Women's Association Hall Introduction
The Japanese Patriotic Women's Association was a major women's organization during World War II in Japan, composed mainly of women with social status and higher education. Its purpose was to care for local development and engage in social services. The headquarters was located in Taipei, with this location serving as the southern branch. The building was constructed in 1920 and is situated next to the now-famous Lily Fruit Ice shop. It features a typical Japanese-Western style architecture, divided into a northern wing for the association and a southern wing for dormitory areas.
