Lin Family Four House in Madou Introduction
Due to economic and political power, the "Mado Lin Family" was renowned at the time alongside the "Wufeng Lin Family" in Taichung and the "Banqiao Lin Family" in Taipei, collectively known as the "Three Lins of Taiwan." With the division of the family inheritance and the urban development causing skyrocketing land prices, the seven exquisite mansions built during the Qing Dynasty faced demolition and reconstruction due to differing opinions among the owners. The "New Four-Bedroom House" was one of the earlier victims of this fate. In May of 1978 (the 67th year of the Republic of China), part of the left half of the central axis was demolished due to differing views on preserving the old mansion.
