Lanzilin Wetland Park Introduction
The narrow-shaped Danzai Linpi Wetland Park is located in the Sanmin District of Kaohsiung City, between Dingjinhou Road and the Dingjin System Interchange. It is one of the wetland parks in Kaohsiung City that has been successfully renovated in recent years, serving multiple purposes such as flood detention, flood prevention, recreational education, and ecological functions. To the north of the park is the "Ecological Dense Forest Area," where dense native Danzai trees serve as the lungs of the city, buffering and mitigating the impacts of the northern expressway on the ecology and environment. The "Ecological Maintenance Area" features dredged and deepened existing terrain, forming ecological islands and aquatic cultivation areas, which are home to various aquatic plants like ginger lily, water bamboo, and cattails. The self-purification mechanism of the ecological pond helps to improve water quality. The fresh environment and natural greenery attract water birds and various species, while the bike paths and shaded green areas provide visitors with tranquil spots to relax, making it a beautiful garden in the back of Kaohsiung City.
