Lanzilin Wetland Park Introduction
The narrow-shaped Lianzi Linpi Wetland Park is located in Sanmin District, Kaohsiung City, between Dingjinhou Road and the Dingjin System Interchange. It is one of the wetland parks in Kaohsiung City that has been successfully rehabilitated in recent years, serving multiple functions such as flood retention, flood prevention, recreational education, and ecological preservation. The northern part of the park features an "Ecological Dense Forest Area," where a dense native Lianzi forest acts like the lungs of the city, mitigating the impact of the nearby highway on the ecosystem and environment. The "Ecological Maintenance Area" has been dredged to enhance the existing topography, creating ecological floating islands and areas for aquatic cultivation, planted with water plants such as Alpinia zerumbet, water bamboo, and cattails, which utilize the self-purification mechanism of the ecological pond to improve water quality. The fresh environment and natural greenery attract water birds and various species, while the bike paths and shaded green areas provide visitors with a peaceful corner to relax, making it one of Kaohsiung City's beautiful back gardens.
