Xianzi Linpi Wetland Park Introduction
The narrow-shaped Bantan Wetland Park is located in the Sanmin District of Kaohsiung City, between Dingjin Back Road and the Dingjin Interchange. It is one of the successful wetland parks in Kaohsiung City in recent years, serving dual purposes of flood retention and ecological education. On the north side of the park is the "Ecological Dense Forest Area," where the dense native Bantan forests function as the lungs of the city, blocking and buffering the disturbances caused by the nearby highway to the ecology and environment. The "Ecological Maintenance Area" deepens and dredges the original terrain, creating ecological islands and water-cultivated areas, planted with aquatic plants such as Alpinia zerumbet, water chestnuts, and cattails, utilizing the self-purification mechanism of the ecological pond to improve water quality. The fresh environment and natural greenery attract water birds and other wildlife, while the bike paths and shaded green areas provide visitors with a tranquil corner for relaxation, making it a beautiful garden in Kaohsiung City.
