Golden Lion Lake Scenic Area Introduction
Jinshihu, originally named Dapi, is named after the surrounding Shishan Mountain and the hook-shaped lake that resembles a crouching lion. It is one of the water-retaining ponds that serve as a source of the Love River and has flood control and water regulation functions. Although it is a less-known attraction in Kaohsiung, the scenery of Jinshihu is still worth seeing, featuring a beautiful lakeside walking green corridor, rich biodiversity, handcraft courses, and the popular Dao De Temple and Bao'an Temple. Visitors with enough stamina can even explore Chengqing Lake and Niaosong Wetland.
