Heart of Love River Introduction
Heart of Love River is located upstream of Love River at the intersection of Boai Road and Tongmeng Road in Kaohsiung City. It is composed of East Lake and West Lake, with a bridge built in between that resembles a heart shape. Covering an area of 1.4 square kilometers, Heart of Love River consists of two artificial flood control lakes. The shallower East Lake serves as an ecological pool, designed to create a natural environment for fish and shrimp to inhabit and grow, while the deeper West Lake, in addition to its flood retention and ecological functions, also serves as a docking point for boats along the Love River. The two lakes are connected by an aerial bridge, forming a beautiful heart shape. As night falls, colorful lights reflect on the lakeside water fountains and the bridge, and the white lattice railings create beautiful heart-shaped shadows, shining like the most dazzling jewels on the Love River. The romantic atmosphere always attracts tourists and couples to stroll by the lake and linger. Heart of Love River is easily accessible, with not only road and metro transport but also waterway boats and bike paths, making it the perfect place to experience the beauty of night in Kaohsiung.
