Heart of Love River Introduction
Heart of Love River, located in the upper section of Love River at the intersection of Bo'ai 1st Road and Tongmeng 1st Road in Kaohsiung City, is composed of East Lake and West Lake, connected by a bridge that creates a heart shape. Covering an area of 1.4 square kilometers, the Heart of Love River consists of two artificial flood retention lakes. The shallower East Lake serves as an ecological pool, designed to mimic natural environments for fish and shrimp to inhabit and grow. The deeper West Lake, besides its flood retention and ecological functions, also allows for boats to navigate and dock along Love River. The two lakes are linked by an aerial bridge, forming a beautiful heart shape. As night falls, colorful lights illuminate the lakeside water fountain and bridge surface, while the white lattice railings reflect beautiful heart-shaped flowers, resembling the most sparkling jewels on Love River. The romantic ambiance always attracts tourists and couples to stroll along the lakeside, reluctant to leave.
