Taiwan Tian Tan Buddha Introduction
Taiwan Tian Tan is located at the northern end of Dashu District, facing the Gaoping River and the Li Ling Bridge, surrounded by mountains on three sides, making it easily accessible with magnificent scenery. Covering nearly 30,000 square meters, the grand welcoming archway and the 99-step staircase lead visitors and worshippers into this solemn and elegant place of ascetic practice, with exquisite dragon reliefs enhancing its majestic atmosphere. The Tian Tan is a circular building modeled after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, standing three stories high with red pillars, a green dome topped with golden glazed tiles, radiating a harmonious and grand demeanor. The interior decor is simple and elegant, featuring tiered altars for the worship of Master Ching Shui, Guan Sheng Emperor, and the Jade Emperor. It serves not only as a place for devout worshippers but is also an excellent spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gaoping River.
