Taiwan Tian Tan Buddha Introduction
Taiwan Tian Tan is located at the northern end of Dashu District, facing the Gaoping River and the Liling Bridge, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with convenient transportation and stunning views. The Tian Tan covers an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, with an impressive entrance archway and ninety-nine steps leading visitors and devotees into a solemn and elegant place for quietude, while the exquisite Nine Dragons relief sculpture adds to its grandeur. The Tian Tan is a circular structure built in imitation of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, with three levels, featuring red columns and a green dome topped with golden glazed tiles, exuding a harmonious and magnificent presence. The interior is simply elegant, with altars dedicated to the Qingshui Ancestor, Guanyin, and the Jade Emperor, making it not only a place for worship but also an excellent spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gaoping River.
