Taiwan Temple of Heaven Introduction
The Taiwan Tian Tan is located at the northern end of the Dashu District, facing the Gaoping River and the Liling Bridge, with mountains surrounding it on three sides. It has convenient transportation and expansive views. The Tian Tan covers an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, featuring a magnificent welcoming archway and 99 steps that lead visitors and worshippers into this solemn and elegant place of spiritual retreat, with intricate dragon relief sculptures adding to its grandeur. The Tian Tan is a circular building modeled after the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, standing three stories high, with red pillars, a green dome covered in golden glazed tiles, creating an overall harmonious and majestic demeanor. Its interior is simply and elegantly furnished, with altars dedicated to the Qingshui Zushi, Guansheng Dijun, and Yuhuang Dadi on different levels. In addition to serving as a place of worship for devotees, it also offers a spectacular view of the beautiful scenery of the Gaoping River.
