Taiwan Tian Tan Buddha Introduction
Taiwan Tian Tan is located at the northern end of the Dashu District, facing the Gaoping River and the Liling Bridge, surrounded by mountains on three sides, with convenient transportation and magnificent scenery. The Tian Tan covers an area of nearly 30,000 square meters, featuring an imposing welcoming archway and 99 steps that lead visitors and worshippers into this solemn and elegant place of cultivation. The exquisite Nine Dragon reliefs add to its grandeur. The Tian Tan is a circular building built in imitation of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, three stories high, with red pillars and a green dome topped with golden glazed tiles, embodying a harmonious and magnificent demeanor. The interior is simple yet elegant, with different levels dedicated to the Qing Shui Zu Shi, Guan Sheng Di Jun, and Yu Huang Da Di. It serves not only as a site for worship and faith but also as an excellent vantage point to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Gaoping River.
