Water Park Introduction
Walking at the intersection of Wufu Road and Guanghua Road in Lingya District, a giant colorful spherical structure soaring 38 meters catches the eyes of passersby, bringing them unexpected delight. This site, originally a large water reservoir and water distribution pipeline built in 1960 but now abandoned, covers an area of one hectare. Due to its historical significance, the city government preserved the distribution pipelines and painted the 3,800-ton water tower in vibrant colors. At night, with the addition of decorative lighting, it has become a beautiful landmark in Kaohsiung City. The park features seven landscape artworks, and the ground is paved with curved imagery. Fiber optic light strips connect glass mosaics that display a map of Kaohsiung City along with various colorful patterns. The lush greenery of the park during the day resembles a charming candy house, while the splendid lighting at night reveals an entirely different glamorous atmosphere, transforming the industrial site into a new artistic style with a gentle touch.
