Water Park Introduction

Walking at the intersection of Wufu Road and Guanghua Road in Lingya District, a giant colorful spherical object standing 38 meters tall catches the eyes of passing pedestrians with surprise and delight. The park covers one hectare and was originally a large water tower and water supply pipeline built in 1960, which had since been abandoned. Due to its historical value, the city government preserved the pipelines and painted the exterior of the water tower, which has a capacity of 3,800 tons, in vibrant colors. At night, it is illuminated, becoming a beautiful landmark in Kaohsiung City. The park features seven landscape art installations, and the ground is paved with curved imagery connected by optical fiber light strips displaying a map of Kaohsiung City and various colorful patterns. During the day, the lush park resembles a candy house with its bright and adorable appearance, while the gorgeous lighting at night showcases a different, glamorous atmosphere, transforming the rigid industrial site into a new, soft artistic style.
