Water Park Introduction
Walking at the intersection of Wufu Road and Guanghua Road in Lingya District, the towering 38-meter tall giant colorful spherical structure catches the eyes of passing pedestrians, bringing them surprise and delight. The Water Park site, covering one hectare, was originally a large water tower built in 1960, which has been abandoned. Due to its historical significance, the city government has preserved the water distribution pipelines and painted the exterior of the water tower, which has a storage capacity of 3,800 tons, in vibrant colors. At night, it is illuminated to become a beautiful landmark in Kaohsiung City. The park features seven landscape artworks, with the ground creatively laid out with curved surfaces, and fiber optic lights connecting glass mosaics that represent a map of Kaohsiung City and various colorful patterns. During the day, the lush green park resembles a candy house, while the splendid lighting at night showcases a different kind of glamorous charm, transforming the industrial site into a space of artistic elegance.
