85 Sky Tower Introduction
Kaohsiung 85 Sky Tower, with a total height of 378 meters including the antenna, has 85 floors above ground and 5 floors underground. Completed in 1997 by architect Lee Chyu-Yuan's team, it features unique Chinese elements in its design. The tall structure stands majestically as if reigning over the world, with its cloud-like shoulders resembling geese spreading their wings in grand demeanor. The southeast faces the aerial guests, while the west overlooks the Taiwan Strait, and to the north lies the Xinguang Terminal, surrounded by a complex land transport network, symbolizing the economic pulse of Kaohsiung City. Taking the beautiful and romantic starlight elevator, one can reach the observation deck on the 74th floor in just 43 seconds, offering a panoramic view of the entire Kaohsiung City, overlooking the bustling Kaohsiung Port, where the beauty of the sea and sky merges in a breathtaking sight.
