85 Sky Tower Introduction
Kaohsiung 85 Sky Tower, with a total height of 378 meters including its antenna, has 85 floors above ground and 5 underground. Completed in 1997 by a team of architects led by Lee Zhu-yuan, the building incorporates unique Chinese design elements. The structure stands majestically, resembling a ruler overseeing the land, while its shoulders appear like clouds, evoking the image of wild geese spreading their wings proudly. The southeast side welcomes esteemed guests arriving from the sky, the west overlooks the Taiwan Strait, and to the north, it nestles beside the Shin Kong Pier, surrounded by an intricate network of land transportation that reflects the economic pulse of Kaohsiung City. By taking the beautifully romantic Starry Sky elevator, you can reach the observation deck on the 74th floor in just 43 seconds, offering a panoramic view of the entire Kaohsiung City, overlooking the bustling Kaohsiung Port, with the stunning sea and sky blending beautifully before your eyes.
