Labor Park Introduction
Established in 2003, Labor Park, located at the intersection of Zhongshan Third Road and Minquan Road in Qianzhen District, is the only park in the country themed around labor. The park is lush with greenery and fragrant flowers, making it an ideal stop for the public to enjoy flowering and gardening, especially with its famous weekend flower market. In addition to housing the Labor Recreation Center and Labor University, the park features the "Workers' Memorial Monument," which commemorates and mourns labor workers who lost their lives due to occupational injuries during the phase of economic development. Kaohsiung City is Taiwan's largest industrial city, and the significance of Labor Park and the "Workers' Memorial Monument" lies in raising public awareness of labor welfare and safety, while transforming past painful experiences into future vigilance and knowledge, in the pursuit of a safe working and labor environment.
