Labor Park Introduction
Established in 2003, Labor Park, located at the intersection of Zhongshan Third Road and Minquan Road in the Qianzhen District, is the only park in the country dedicated to the theme of labor. The park is shaded by lush trees and filled with fragrant flowers, making it an ideal spot for the famous weekend flower market, where the public can relax and enjoy gardening. In addition to the Labor Recreation Center and Labor University within the park, a "Monument for Fallen Workers" is also erected in the square to commemorate and mourn those laborers who lost their lives due to occupational hazards during the phase of economic development. Kaohsiung City, being Taiwan's largest industrial city, highlights the significance of Labor Park and the "Monument for Fallen Workers" in raising public awareness about labor welfare and safety, as well as transforming past painful experiences into future vigilance and knowledge in pursuit of a safe working environment and secure labor conditions.
