Labor Park Introduction
Built in 2003, Labor Park, located at the intersection of Zhongshan Third Road and Minquan Road in the Qianzhen District, is the only park in the country themed around labor. The park is shaded by lush trees and filled with fragrant flowers, making it the best spot for the public to relax and appreciate flowers and plant greenery, especially during the famous weekend flower markets. In addition to the Labor Recreation Center and Labor University, the park features the "Monument for Workers' Sacrifice," which commemorates and mourns the laborers who lost their lives due to occupational injuries during the phase of economic development. Kaohsiung City is Taiwan's largest industrial city, and the significance of Labor Park and the "Monument for Workers' Sacrifice" lies in raising public awareness of labor welfare and safety, transforming past painful experiences into future vigilance and knowledge in pursuit of a safe working environment.
