Citizens' Square Introduction
Yanchengpu was once the earliest developed and most prosperous area in Kaohsiung. The "Yancheng Civic Plaza" at the intersection of Zhongzheng 4th Road and Dayong Road has been redeveloped from the old Yancheng Roundabout. The most notable feature is the fountain play area in the plaza, which features music, water dance, and lighting at specific times each day, creating a joyful and leisurely atmosphere with a Southern Taiwan vibe. Additionally, the plaza includes three-dimensional artistic light boxes, light sculpture landscape walls, and elegant tree-lined walkways, each showcasing different charms at day and night. The Civic Plaza is adjacent to the 228 Peace Memorial Park, with the International Conference Center and the Historical Museum just a street away. The greenery and fountain in the plaza provide a refreshing and cool escape from the busy city life, making it a great place for family outings and summer relaxation.
