Civic Square Introduction
Yan Cheng Pu was once the earliest developed and most prosperous area in Kaohsiung. The "Yan Cheng Citizen Square," located at the intersection of Zhongzheng Fourth Road and Dayong Road, has been re-planned and rebuilt from the old Yan Cheng Roundabout. Notably, the square features a fountain recreation area that offers music, water dances, and lighting at specific times daily, creating a joyful and leisurely atmosphere with a Southern Taiwan vibe. Additionally, the square includes three-dimensional artistic light boxes, light sculpture landscape walls, and elegant tree-lined pathways, each presenting a different charm throughout the day and night. Adjacent to the square is the 228 Peace Park, with the International Conference Center and History Museum just a street away. The greenery and fountain in the square provide a refreshing and cool contrast to the bustling urban life, making it an excellent destination for family outings and a way to cool off during hot days.
