Lianzi Jiao Cultural Shared Space Introduction
The Xianzi Jiao Cultural Sharing Space is located in Baolai Village, Liugui District, alongside the Southern Cross-Island Highway. "Xianzi Jiao" means "under the mango tree" in Taiwanese. This cultural sharing space was transformed from an old warehouse by the residents of Baolai, using natural materials such as river stones, driftwood, rice husks, and straw, constructed employing traditional techniques. Managed by the Baolai Cultural Association, the Xianzi Jiao Cultural Sharing Space serves as a community hub that adheres to the concept of "harmonious coexistence with the earth," focusing on the development of "life," "ecology," and "production." The center aims to promote post-disaster reconstruction, welfare support, talent cultivation, and industrial development through community workshops, primarily producing pottery, plant dyeing, and wood-fired bread, among other products. A suggested stay duration is about 3 hours. Visitors are encouraged to make advance reservations for experiential classes in Baolai pottery, sunlight dyeing, wood-fired bread, and wood-fired pizza, allowing them to deeply appreciate the philosophy of coexisting with nature through hands-on experience.
