Neiwei Station Introduction

Neiweiy is originally named "Neiwe," which means "enclosure" in Chinese. During the Qing Dynasty, the settlement had walls made of soil or bamboo for protection against bandits, thus it was referred to as "enclosure." The local government stationed troops for protection, leading to its name. However, around the time of the retrocession, "Neiwe" was changed to "Neiweiy." The design of Neiweiy Station features a curved forest as a symbolic wall and incorporates a scenic wetland to convey the local characteristics of "curved waterways and tranquil ponds."
