Soft Bridge Thousand Years Trail Introduction
The "Soft Bridge Chitose Trail" was originally built by Han people who settled in the area. Due to the flooding of the Shangping River preventing transportation, they used local materials to construct a temporary bridge made of yellow vines for easier passage, which remained functional for ten years. Hence, it was referred to as the Soft Bridge by the locals. In April and May, the oil tung flowers bloom, creating a scenic landscape along the trail. The Soft Bridge community has a well-preserved firefly habitat, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful starry night sky during the firefly season each year.
