Soft Bridge Chitose Trail Introduction
The "Soft Bridge Chitose Trail" was originally built by Han people who cleared the land. Due to the floods of the Shangping River making transportation impossible, they temporarily used local materials to construct a simple bridge for passage. It remained in use for ten years, hence the locals referred to it as the Soft Bridge. In April and May, there are white tung flowers, and the trail boasts beautiful forest scenery. The Soft Bridge Community has a good firefly conservation program, allowing visitors to enjoy the stunning night sky filled with flickering fireflies during the firefly season every year.
