Soft Bridge Chien-Tsai Trail Introduction
The "Soft Bridge Chitose Trail" was originally built by Han Chinese who settled in the area. Due to the sudden rise of the water levels in the Shangping River, they made a temporary bridge by using local materials, specifically yellow rattan, which allowed transportation. This bridge remained in use for ten years, leading the local people to call it the Soft Bridge. In April and May, the oil tung flowers bloom in white clusters, enhancing the beauty of the trail's forest scenery. The Soft Bridge community has a well-preserved firefly habitat, providing a stunning view of a starry night during the firefly season each year.
