Simakusi Trail Introduction
The trail entrance is located in the Sima Kusi tribe, and the endpoint is at the Giant Tree area. The Sima Kusi Trail is relatively flat and does not have any particularly difficult sections; the steep slopes are short, with a distance of five kilometers and an elevation difference of less than 100 meters. According to the top ten sacred trees ranking published by the Forestry Bureau in 1996, the second and third sacred trees are both located in the Sacred Tree area of Sima Kusi. These two sacred trees in Sima Kusi are both Red Cypress, and their main trunks can only be encircled by more than twenty people holding hands. The trail is rich in natural scenery and various plants and animals, which are also worth observing.
