Bamboo Forest Health Village Cooperative Introduction
In 2010, Kuo Wen-piao established the "Bamboo Grove Health Cooperative" and invested in the production and sale of economic crops, such as sawdust shiitake mushrooms and golden needle mushrooms. He believes that agricultural development must start from the concept of symbiosis between people and the environment, which is why he does not grow high-altitude vegetables and focuses on species restoration. For every tree cut down for development, at least two more will be planted, adhering to sustainable principles to seek community development. There were already wild golden needle mushrooms in the area, so under suitable soil and climate conditions, the second special crops production and marketing group in Wufeng Township was established to start planting golden needle mushrooms. Additionally, collaborations were initiated with Taipei Medical University and other organizations, as well as contracts with biotechnology companies, leading to the gradual development of diversified product applications, including tea bags and golden needle mushroom meals.
