Bamboo Forest Health Village Cooperative Introduction
In 2010, Guo Wen-biao established the "Bamboo Forest Health Cooperative," focusing on the production and sale of economic crops such as segment wooden mushrooms and golden needle mushrooms. He believes that agricultural development should start from the concept of coexistence between humans and the environment, which is why he does not cultivate high-altitude vegetables but instead emphasizes species restoration. If one tree is cut down for development, he ensures that at least two or more will be planted in return, adhering to sustainable principles to seek community development. Originally, there were wild golden needle mushrooms in the area, so under suitable soil and climate conditions, he established the second production and marketing class for special crops in Wufeng Township to begin cultivating golden needle mushrooms. He also collaborates with Taipei Medical University and other organizations for academic cooperation and partners with biotechnology companies to develop diverse product applications such as tea bags and golden needle mushroom dishes.
