Bamboo Forest Health Village Cooperative Introduction
In 2010, Kuo Wen-Piao established the "Bamboo Grove Health Cooperative" and dedicated himself to the production and sale of economic crops such as log-grown mushrooms and golden needle mushrooms. He believes that agricultural development must be based on the concept of symbiosis between people and the environment, thus avoiding the cultivation of high-altitude vegetables and focusing on species rehabilitation. If a tree is cut down for development, at least two or more should be replanted, adhering to sustainable principles in seeking community development. There were originally wild golden needle mushrooms in the area, so under suitable soil and climatic conditions, the second class of specialty crops production and marketing team of Wufeng Township was established to begin cultivating golden needle mushrooms. Additionally, collaboration with Taipei Medical University and other institutions has been initiated, along with contract farming with biotech companies, leading to the development of diversified product applications such as tea bags and golden needle mushroom dishes.
