Guanxi Township Farmers' Association Grass Jelly Factory Introduction

Guanxi Township, due to the thriving grass jelly industry, has found unique development opportunities that have revitalized its once-declining agricultural production, becoming a representative area for grass jelly in Taiwan. Grass jelly is not only widely cultivated in Guanxi Township and Xianglin Township in Hsinchu County but has also extended to Tongluo and Sanyi in Miaoli County, Xinwu in Taoyuan City, and Fenglin in Hualien County. Among these, Guanxi Township has the largest grass jelly cultivation area in Taiwan, and with the technical guidance of the Taoyuan Agricultural Improvement Station, it continuously improves processing techniques and develops a variety of grass jelly products, enabling the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. Grass jelly is a native Taiwanese plant that resembles small mint leaves, is lush green, and has a slightly fuzzy texture. It is planted from March to April each year and harvested when it matures from September to October. The Guanxi Farmers' Association Grass Jelly Processing Factory is dedicated to the refined processing of grass jelly, enhancing quality through improved techniques and producing rich-flavored, smooth-textured grass jelly tea, grass jelly desserts, dried grass jelly, and other related products that are highly favored by consumers. Visitors to Guanxi can not only taste authentic grass jelly delicacies but also tour the grass jelly processing factory to understand the complete process from planting and harvesting to processing. Surrounding attractions include Guanxi Old Street and fruit orchards, making it suitable for an in-depth trip that combines agricultural products and cultural experiences.
