Emei Township is known as one of the hometowns of the Tōnggān (Ponkan), producing a tenth of the total domestic output. With adequate rainfall and suitably cool temperatures, it is quite suitable for the growth of Tōnggān. The Beiying Citrus Farm is one of the production sites, mainly producing Tōnggān and Maoguo Citrus. The fruit-picking season runs from December to March of the following year. Families are welcome to visit.
