Guanghe Temple Introduction
Located at No. 608, Zhongzheng Road, Xinpu Township, Hsinchu County, Xinpu Guanghe Temple, locally known as "Wangye Temple," is dedicated to the worship of San Shan Guo Wang instead of the usual Wangye beliefs such as Wu Fu Qian Sui. The Hakka people refer to San Shan Guo Wang as "Wangye." Since this belief is unique to the Hakka community, they brought it to Taiwan after migrating and cultivating the land, making Guanghe Temple a faith center for the Hakka people in Xinpu and one of the most renowned temples in the area. The biggest feature of Guanghe Temple is its "dui chang zuo" architectural style, similar to that of Wan Hui Temple in Wandan Township, Pingtung County. The left and right wooden carvings are crafted by two different sets of artisans, so the designs of the hanging tubes, swallow-tail brackets, and lion pedestals are slightly different, showcasing the diverse craftsmanship from different masters.
