Guanghe Temple Introduction
Guanghe Temple, located at No. 608 Zhongzheng Road, Xinpu Township, Hsinchu County, is locally known as "Wangye Temple." However, it does not enshrine the belief of Wangye such as the Five Lords but primarily worships the Three Mountain Kings, as Hakka people refer to the Three Mountain Kings as "Wangye." Since the Three Mountain Kings are a unique belief among Hakka people, they brought this faith to Taiwan after migrating and farming the land, establishing Guanghe Temple as a faith center for Hakka people in the Xinpu area and making it one of the most famous temples nearby. The biggest feature of Guanghe Temple is its architectural style of "Duichangzuo," which is similar to Wanhui Temple in Wandan Township, Pingtung County. It divides the left and right wooden carvings along the central axis, with two groups of craftsmen working separately, resulting in different designs for the hanging tubes, bird supports, and lion seats on either side, showcasing the craftsmanship of different artisans.
