Zhoujia Zhuang Agricultural Tourism Farm Introduction
Zhoujiazhuang Agricultural Leisure Farm is located within the Jiuchong Lake Leisure Agricultural Area in Xinpu Township. This area is a successful demonstration rural transformation planned by the Soil and Water Conservation Bureau, surrounded by numerous hiking trails and various leisure farms. Zhoujiazhuang is the only hawthorn-themed agricultural tourism farm in Taiwan. During the harvest season from June to October each year, fresh hawthorn is collected to produce a variety of food items such as hawthorn dried fruit, hawthorn tea, hawthorn vinegar, hawthorn mung bean cake, and hawthorn ice cream, making it an excellent health food for busy modern individuals. Zhoujiazhuang Agricultural Leisure Farm also offers informative guided activities that allow visitors to gain in-depth knowledge about the surrounding natural ecology and cultural scenery. Walking through the well-planned area that covers three hectares, visitors can frequently climb up and down slopes or bend down to closely observe fruit trees. In addition to hawthorn, there are also water pears, wax apples, persimmons, pomelos, jujubes, and citrus fruits. The farm offers hawthorn experience activities, where participants can heat hawthorn tea, mix ingredients, and create hawthorn jelly in just 30 to 40 minutes, allowing them to taste their handcrafted hawthorn jelly. For those who wish to manage their own happy farm, they can adopt fruits or vegetables here and come to personally till, fertilize, and irrigate on weekends or holidays, fulfilling their dream of connecting with the land.
