Carpentry craftsman Huang Wen-bin has built his skills on traditional wood molding techniques and is fearless in challenging and innovating. What others see as discarded small wooden blocks are treasures in Huang Wen-bin's eyes. With a philosophy of environmental protection and resource recycling, he glues and compresses the wood blocks, then utilizes lathe technology and bearing principles, combining the beauty of wood colors to create stunning拼木寶格 (wood mosaic) crafts. This transformation from the precision and standardization pursued in wood molding to practical artistic creations, along with his exquisite designs of wood colors, has honed Huang Wen-bin's exceptional skills through years of dedication and research. He has received various awards, including: the 5th Outstanding Figures in Technology Award (Golden Technology Award), the 4th Huangxi Fine Arts Exhibition Selection, the 12th Taiwan Craft Design Competition Selection, the 2008 Taiwan Craft Competition Selection, and the 2015 Taiwan International Wood Carving Competition Selection. In 2020, Huang Wen-bin was selected for the Taiwan Craft House, where the "Fine Bottle Craft Workshop" showcases meticulously calculated angles and sophisticated design planning, resulting in exquisite wood mosaic pieces that highlight the superb craftsmanship of fine bottle wood art. Huang sees woodworking not only as creating wooden pieces but also as a delicate and ingenious craft. When combined with mechanisms, it becomes an innovative artistic vision. Huang Wen-bin believes that technology requires the influence of art, and art needs the support of technology. He dedicates his life to a single pursuit, embodying the spirit of "Ichigo ichie."
