Neihu Forest Elementary School Introduction
Neihu Forest Elementary School is located alongside County Route 151, which leads to the Xitou Forest Recreation Area. After the 921 earthquake, due to a complicated process of acquiring land for relocation, Neihu Elementary School became the last of the 293 schools to be rebuilt. It is a forest ecological elementary school aimed at developing ecological education. Neihu Forest Elementary School is constructed entirely with raw timber, following a specific architectural plan, with a total budget of approximately NT$75 million. The planning aimed to minimize damage to the original ecology of the site and to fully integrate with the local landscape features in its design. The school is divided into various areas including teaching areas, ecological zones, specialized classrooms, administrative areas, dormitory zones, and activity areas, making it a forest school nestled among lush trees.
