Neihu Forest Elementary School Introduction
Neihu Forest Elementary School is located beside County Highway 151, which leads to Xitou Forest Recreation Area. After the 921 earthquake, due to various challenges in land acquisition for relocating the school, Neihu Elementary School became the last of the 293 schools to be reconstructed. It is a forest ecological elementary school aimed at developing ecological education. The entire school is constructed using logs as building materials, following the building plan, with a total budget of about NT$75 million. The design aims to minimize damage to the original ecology of the site and fully integrates with the local landscape characteristics. The school is divided into teaching areas, ecological areas, specialized classrooms, administrative areas, dormitory areas, and activity areas, making it a forest school nestled among lush trees.
