Neihu Forest Elementary School Introduction
Neihu Forest Elementary School is located next to County Road 151, which leads to Xitou Forest Recreation Area. After the 921 Earthquake, the school faced numerous challenges in acquiring land for relocation, making it the last of the 293 schools that were rebuilt. It is an ecological elementary school aimed at developing ecological education. The entire school is constructed using raw wood materials and was rebuilt according to architectural plans with a total budget of approximately 75 million NTD. The design aims to minimize damage to the existing ecosystem of the site and fully integrates local landscape features. The school is divided into different areas, including teaching areas, ecological zones, specialized classrooms, administrative areas, dormitory zones, and activity areas, nestled within lush forested surroundings.
