Neihu Forest Elementary School Introduction
Neihu Forest Elementary School is located next to County Road 151, which leads to the Xitou Forest Recreation Area. After the 921 earthquake, due to complicated land acquisition for relocating the school, Neihu Elementary School became the last among the 293 schools to be rebuilt. It is a forest ecological elementary school aimed at developing ecological education. The entire school is constructed using raw timber, rebuilt according to architectural plans, with a total budget of about 75 million NT dollars. The design minimizes damage to the existing ecology of the site and integrates local landscape features. The school is divided into teaching areas, ecological zones, specialized classrooms, administrative areas, dormitory areas, and activity zones, and is situated among lush trees, embodying the essence of a forest school.
