Deqing Waterfall Introduction

Deqing Waterfall is located on the Xiaobantian Mountain Zhu Lake Industrial Road in Lugu Township. It is a tributary of the Dongpu River, formed by the diehorse pit rock layer, with the water flow originating from Dalun Mountain. The waterfall consists of upper and lower tiers, with a total height of over 50 meters. Visitors can climb up to the upper tier via a side path for a better view. The upper tier has been eroded over the years by the creek, forming a basin-like deep pool, with water overflowing and cascading down to the second tier. The water flows year-round, and the pool is crystal clear and refreshingly cool. Surrounding the area are towering cliffs, lush forests, rich birdlife, and diverse creek ecosystems, with beautiful bamboo groves along the way to enjoy.

Address：Daxing Waterfall, Zhulin Village, Luguhu Township, Nantou County

Transportation Methods：*Driving route south: National Highway No. 1 → Exit at Xiluo Interchange → Take Provincial Highway No. 1 and 1 丁 through Citong to Douliu → Turn onto Provincial Highway No. 3 through Linnan to Zhushan → After crossing Jiangpu Bridge, turn right onto County Road No. 151 heading towards Lugou → Pass through Lugou to Guangxing Village → Follow the signs on the right side of the road towards Zhulin Village → Arrive at the intersection of Guangfu Road and Tiantou Lane in Zhulin Village → You will see the signs to the waterfall. Northbound: National Highway No. 3 → Zhushan Interchange → Taiwan Provincial Highway No. 3 → County Road No. 151 → Lugou → Dexing Waterfall* Bus route: Take the Yuanlin Bus from Zhushan to Zhulin Village → Get off at the terminal (there are seven buses daily, then walk along the trail).
