Henglu Ancient Trail - Half Day Bridge Introduction
Henglu Ancient Trail was the only passageway for early residents of Henglu to travel to Xiaobantian Village. Initially, it was built with bamboo arches, but it was destroyed by the 878 flood, which also widened the riverbanks, making it impossible to construct arches again. The following year, the government funded the construction of a cable suspension bridge, which was also damaged by the immense power of Typhoon Tauchung, rendering it impassable. In 2007, the county government invested tens of millions to build a new suspension bridge, named Bantian Bridge, which is integrated with the Xiaobantian Leisure Agricultural Area, becoming a new sightseeing route.
