Henglu Ancient Trail - Half-Day Bridge Introduction
The Henglu Ancient Trail was the only passage for early residents of Henglu to travel to the Xiaobantian village. Initially, it was built with bamboo to create an arched bridge, but it was destroyed by the 1987 flood, which also widened the riverbanks, making it impossible to build an arched bridge again. The following year, the government funded the construction of a cable-stayed bridge, but it was also damaged by the powerful Typhoon Tassi, which made it unusable. In 2007, the county government invested millions to build a new suspension bridge, named Bantian Bridge, which, combined with the Xiaobantian leisure agricultural area, has become a new touring route.
