Cloud Ridge Introduction
The zero-death-angle sea of clouds at the intersection of three counties is located at Yunling Hill, on the border of Yunlin, Chiayi, and Nantou. It not only features artistic sculptures pointing towards the three counties but also offers a 360-degree view where one can behold the sunrise, the breathtaking sea of clouds, and the scenic tea plantations. Around noon, the area is enveloped in mist, giving a transcendent feeling, making it especially suitable for early risers to start their journey with the sunrise. Yunling Hill spans across Yunlin County, Chiayi County, and Nantou County, with an elevation of approximately 1,650 meters. It provides an exceptional new viewpoint for appreciating sunrises, sunsets, and the sea of clouds, which can occasionally be seen rolling up, dancing with mountain mist. The sea of clouds varies with each season. The humanoid sculpture on the triangular marker platform at the peak indicates directions that cleverly point towards the three counties, establishing a unique geographical location for the region spanning Yunlin, Chiayi, and Nantou.
