Pomegranate Station Introduction
The Pomegranate Station, originally known as Shiliuban Station, commenced operations in the 38th year of the Meiji era. During the 1950s, it primarily served the island's need for gravel. Currently, it is a flag stop on the Taiwan Railroad's Main Line, with only commuter trains making stops. The wooden station building and staff dormitory were constructed in the early post-war period. Located in the outskirts of Douliou City, the station, formerly known as Shiliuban Station, is situated between Douliou Station (south) and Linnan Station (north). It is a wooden station built during the Japanese colonial era and remains the only early small station in Yunlin County. With only local trains stopping here, the station has a history of over a hundred years since the Japanese colonial period, featuring a simple Japanese style and a tranquil environment, earning the nickname of the centenarian station.
