Xiluo Yanping Old Street Cultural Museum (Jiefa Qianji Tea House) Introduction
The Xiluo Yanping Old Street Cultural Center beautifully integrates Han, Japanese, and Western architectural styles. Originally a tea shop owned by the Hsu family, it was later donated for use by local art groups and community colleges. This traditional three-section building includes a tea shop, hall, and courtyard, making it a classic example of a structure that merges Han, Japanese, and Western architectural features. In 2002, with the permission of the Hsu family, the Luoyang Cultural Foundation moved into the old tea shop, and with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture, the "Xiluo Yanping Old Street Cultural Center" was established to serve as a base for cultural revitalization and community revitalization efforts. Since then, the old tea shop has transformed into a platform for cultural renaissance in Xiluo. In 2007, it was announced as a historical building. Funded by the Ministry of Culture, Yunlin County Government, donations from the Luoyang Cultural Foundation, and contributions from the Hsu family, it took 11 years to be renovated, reopening in August 2013 with a complete and vibrant appearance. The Luoyang Cultural Foundation continues to operate the "Xiluo Yanping Old Street Cultural Center" and the "Xiluo Tourism Service Center." The Jiefa Qianji Tea Shop has stood steadfastly in Xiluo Street for over a century, allowing the historical and cultural legacy of Xiluo to continue and evolve. The Jiefa Qianji Tea Shop and the Xiluo Yanping Old Street Cultural Center carry on the mission of preserving and revitalizing Xiluo's historical culture, embodying the pioneering spirit of the founder, Hsu Jintian, who was dedicated to his work and generous in giving back to the community. - Provides free audio guides - Hosts cultural events and promotes arts and culture - Guided tours (reservation required) - Offers travel consultation services, guidebooks, and promotional materials
