Xianji Temple Introduction
The main deity worshipped: Xianji Lingwang was built in the 46th year of the Qianlong reign and is one of the earlier temples in Penghu. It was rebuilt in the 54th year of the Republic of China and has remained to this day. The wooden carvings in the temple were crafted by disciples of the master carver Huang Liangshi, who was responsible for the carvings in the Tianhou Temple. It is the only temple in Penghu dedicated to Xie An as the main deity. Xie An, the prime minister after being deified, is known as "Xianji Lingwang" and is honored as "Guo Guo Zun Wang" for his great contributions in protecting the country during the Battle of Feishui.
