Xianji Temple Introduction
The main deity worshipped: Xianji Lingwang was built in the 46th year of the Qianlong reign and is one of the earlier temples in Penghu. It was rebuilt in the 54th year of the Republic of China and has since remained. The wooden carvings of the temple were created by disciples of the master carver Huang Liangshi during the construction of the Mazu Temple. It is the only temple in Penghu that worships Xie An as the main deity. The deified prime minister Xie An is referred to as "Xianji Lingwang" and is honored as "Guardian King" due to his significant contributions in the Battle of Feishui.
