Xianjidian Temple Introduction
The main deity worshipped: Xianji Lingwang, built in the 46th year of the Qianlong Emperor's reign, is one of the oldest temples in Penghu. It was rebuilt in the 54th year of the Republic of China and has remained since. The temple's wooden carvings were crafted by disciples of the master carver Huang Liangshi, who was responsible for the carvings of the Mazu Temple. It is the only temple in Penghu that worships Xie An as the main deity. After being deified, Xie An, who was a prime minister, is referred to as "Xianji Lingwang" and is honored as the "Protector King" due to his great contribution to the nation during the Battle of Feishui.
