Xiangji Temple Introduction
The Main Deity: Xianji Lingwang was built in the 46th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign and is one of the earliest temples in Penghu. It was rebuilt in the 54th year of the Republic of China and still stands today. The wooden carvings of the temple, known for their intricate floral designs, were crafted by the disciple of Master Huang Liangshi, who was the sculptor for the Mazu Temple. It is the only temple in Penghu dedicated to the main deity Xie An. Once deified, the chancellor Xie An is referred to as "Xianji Lingwang" and is honored as the "Protector King" for his significant contributions during the Battle of Fei River.
