Xianjie Temple Introduction
The main deity worshipped: Xianji Lingwang was built in the 46th year of the Qianlong reign and is one of the earliest temples in Penghu. It was rebuilt in the 54th year of the Republic of China and remains to this day. The wooden carvings of the temple were created by Huáng Liángshī, a disciple of the master carver during the construction of the Tianhou Temple. It is the only temple in Penghu that worships Xie An as the main deity. The deified chancellor Xie An is referred to as "Xianji Lingwang" and is honored as the "Guardian King" due to his significant contributions in the Battle of Feishui.
