Chiayi Wish Pavilion Introduction
The "Chiayi Vision Station" and "Chiayi City Railway Elevated Community Workshop" are located on the east side of Chiayi Railway Station (formerly the Kuo-Kuang Bus Station Chiayi). The English name of the Vision Station is derived from the idea of a "station" as a space for gathering people, exchanging information, and waiting to depart. Coincidentally, this building, which is rented from Kuo-Kuang Bus, was originally an old Taiwan highway bus station. During the renovation of the old house, the designer specifically preserved the original "Have a Pleasant Journey" classical painted archway. Currently, the first exhibition theme of the Vision Station is "Finding the Heart of Peach City," showcasing the past and present of Chiayi Station, the history of Chiayi, and a simulation route of the elevated railway; it utilizes augmented reality (AR), allowing the public to use tablets to view a 3D station map. The Vision Station is also the Chiayi City Railway Elevated Community Workshop, and its displayed content will be continually updated according to the progress of the detailed design of the elevated railway, providing engineering information. There will also be a series of public participation forums, informational meetings, and workshops. All citizens are invited to visit the "Chiayi Vision Station" to learn about the past and present of Chiayi Station and to participate in this journey of understanding the city's history and imagining Chiayi's future.
