Chiayi Wish Pavilion Introduction
The "Vision Station" and the "Chiayi Railway Elevated Community Work Station" are located on the east side of Chiayi Railway Station (the former Kuokuang Bus Transport Chiayi Station). The English name of the Vision Station is inspired by the concept of a "station," which serves as a space for gathering people, exchanging information, and waiting to depart. Conveniently, this building, rented from Kuokuang Bus Transport, was originally an old bus station for Taiwan Sugar Corporation's passenger transport. During the renovation of the old building, the designer made sure to preserve the original classical painted archway that expresses "Have a Pleasant Journey." The current theme of the Vision Station's first exhibition, "Finding the Heart of Peach City," presents the history of Chiayi Railway Station, an introduction to the historical evolution of Chiayi, and simulated railway elevated routes; augmented reality (AR) is utilized, allowing the public to view a 3D station map using tablets. The Vision Station also serves as the Chiayi Railway Elevated Community Work Station, and the displayed content will be continuously updated alongside the progress of the detailed design of the railway elevation, providing engineering information. At the same time, a series of public participation forums, briefings, and workshops will be held. Everyone is invited to the "Vision Station in Chiayi" to learn about the past and present of Chiayi Railway Station and to participate in this journey of understanding the city's history and imagining the future of Chiayi.
