Chiayi Wish Center Introduction
The "Chiayi Vision Station" and "Chiayi City Railway Elevated Community Workstation" are located on the east side of the Chiayi Railway Station (the former Chiayi Bus Station of Kuokuang). The English name of the Vision Station is used to convey the meaning of a "station" as a place for gathering people, exchanging information, and waiting to depart. Coincidentally, this building, rented from Kuokuang, was originally the old Taiwan Bus station. During the renovation process, the designer made sure to preserve the original "Bon Voyage" classical painted archway. Currently, the first exhibition theme of the Vision Station is "Searching for the Heart of Peach City," showcasing the past and present of Chiayi Station, an introduction to the history of Chiayi, and a simulated route of the elevated railway; augmented reality (AR) technology is also applied, allowing visitors to view a 3D station map with a tablet. The Vision Station also serves as the community workstation for the Chiayi City Railway Elevated Project, with exhibitions continuously updated as the detailed design progresses, providing engineering information. A series of public participation forums, briefings, and workshops will also be held. Everyone is invited to come to the "Chiayi Vision Station" to learn about the history of Chiayi Station and join this journey of understanding the city’s past and imagining the future of Chiayi.
