Chiayi Dream Hall Introduction
The "Vision Station" and "Chiayi City Railway Elevated Community Workstation" are located on the east side of Chiayi Railway Station (formerly the Chiayi station of Kuokuang Motor Transportation). The English name of the Vision Station is derived from the concept of a "station," which serves as a space for gathering people, exchanging information, and waiting for departures. Coincidentally, this building, rented from Kuokuang Motor Transportation, was originally the old Taiwan Motor Transportation station. During the renovation process, the designer made a special effort to preserve the authentic "Have a pleasant journey" classical painted archway. Currently, the first phase of the exhibition at the Vision Station, titled "Searching for the Heart of Taoyuan City," presents the past and present of Chiayi Station, an introduction to the history of Chiayi, and a simulated railway elevated route, utilizing AR (Augmented Reality) where visitors can explore a 3D map of the station using tablet computers. The Vision Station also serves as the Chiayi City Railway Elevated Community Workstation, with exhibition content continuously updated in line with the progress of the detailed design of the railway elevated line, providing engineering information, and hosting a series of community participation discussions, briefings, and workshops. Citizens are invited to visit the "Vision Station of Chiayi," to learn about the past and present of Chiayi Station and to participate in this journey of understanding the city's history and envisioning the future of Chiayi.
