Zai Geng Garden - Dragonfly Glass Workshop Introduction
The Jiayi City Rehabilitation Park, managed by Chiayi Christian Hospital under the commission of the Chiayi City Government, is a comprehensive facility for individuals with disabilities. Within the park, the Tsubaki Glass Workshop specializes in the craft of glass beads, established after a year of intensive training supported by subsidies from the Chiayi City Government and the Council of Labor Affairs. The workshop actively develops new products and integrates the image of "Taiwan's Kyoto" promoted by the Chiayi City Government, successfully launching the Tsubaki glass creations internationally and becoming a representation of craftsmanship in Chiayi known as the "Pearl of Chiayi." Currently, there are five artisans (individuals with disabilities) working in the workshop, developing a variety of accessories and gifts. Recently, they have successfully created products such as signature pens, necklaces, earrings, pins, and picture frames made of glass materials, and they are officially accepting external orders for production and sales. The site was constructed under the management of Chiayi Christian Hospital as commissioned by the Chiayi City Government.
