Da'an Forest Park Introduction

Da'an Forest Park is located in the Da'an District, right in the city center, covering an area of 25.9293 hectares and is renowned as the "Lung of the City." The main entrance plaza features densely planted flower beds with ornamental plants, combined with a statue area of Buddha and a bamboo grove to the south (planted with gourds bamboo, green bamboo, golden thread bamboo, sweet bamboo, and square bamboo) creating a distinctive garden landscape. On the northwest side of the park, there is a natural pond covering 0.7 hectares, surrounded by plants such as golden trumpet flower, red leaf amaranth, canna lily, and soft branch yellow cicada, and adorned with climbing fern on the stone walls of an islet within the pond, where koi swim leisurely, often attracting visitors to linger by the waterside. In the center of the park, there is an open-air music stage, designed with a natural wave shape, which can accommodate nearly a thousand spectators, making it a major hub for arts and cultural performances in Taipei City. Surrounding the music stage is an area planted with fragrant flowers, including magnolia, gardenia, sweet osmanthus, and other aromatic plants, providing a pleasant fragrance and serving as an accessible leisure area within the park. To the southeast of the park, there are palm trees that exude a tropical feel, planted with royal palms, Alexander palms, bottle palms, peacock palms, canna lilies, and more, making visitors feel as if they are walking in a tropical palm forest. The park is traversed by two main garden paths running east to west and one running north to south, lined with shrubs and flower beds that embellish the park's landscape. The park's design is centered around forest themes, offering beautiful greenery for visitors to enjoy, with several pavilions and resting areas available for relaxation. Along the Jingguo South Road, there are also oleander plants, which bloom in colorful hues, resembling ribbons that enhance the park's beauty. Due to its central location, Da'an Forest Park attracts a large number of visitors daily, especially in the morning and during sunset, drawing nearby residents to engage in activities like exercising, walking, dancing, and playing. The park features a children's playground and has an underground parking facility with two levels that can accommodate small vehicles, alleviating parking difficulties for visitors coming from afar. In the bustling, heavily polluted, and "heat island effect" afflicted Taipei City, this 26-hectare purely recreational "urban forest" park serves as a refreshing "lung of the city" that can purify the air, reduce noise, and regulate temperature. Visitors can enjoy the floral displays and performances at the music stage while indulging in "forest bathing" for relaxation, meandering through the park to experience its myriad beautiful sights and fully utilize the park's functions.
