Da'an Forest Park Introduction

Daan Forest Park is located in the Daan District, situated in the city center, covering an area of 25.9293 hectares, and is known as the "Lung of the City." The central entrance plaza features densely planted flower beds and ornamental plants, combined with a statue area of Buddha and a bamboo forest area to the south, which includes species such as gourds bamboo, green bamboo, golden silk bamboo, fragrant bamboo, and square bamboo, creating a distinctive garden landscape. On the northwest side of the park, there is a natural pond covering 0.7 hectares, surrounded by plants like golden dew drop, red-leafed amaranth, canna lily, and yellow trumpet vine, adorned with climbing rattan on the island's rock wall, where koi fish swim, often attracting visitors to pause and admire for a long time. In the center of the park, there is an open-air music stage with a natural wavy design that can accommodate nearly a thousand spectators, serving as a major venue for cultural and artistic performances in Taipei. The area around the music stage is planted with fragrant flowering plants such as magnolia, gardenia, Indian jujube, Michelia, and osmanthus, creating a fragrant ambiance that enhances the park as an accessible leisure area. In the southeast corner of the park, visitors can see palm trees with a tropical flavor, including royal palm, Alexander palm, bottle palm, and peacock palm, giving the impression of being in a tropical palm forest. The park features two main roads running east to west and one running north to south, lined with trees and shrubs, and adorned with flower beds that accentuate the landscape. The park's design follows a forest theme, ensuring a visually pleasing environment for relaxation, featuring several pavilions and rest areas for visitors to unwind. Along the Jianguo South Road, there are rows of camellia plants that bloom in vibrant colors, resembling colorful ribbons that enhance the park's beauty. Due to its central location, Daan Forest Park attracts a large number of visitors every day, especially in the morning and during sunset, drawing nearby residents for activities such as exercising, walking, dancing, and playing. The park includes a children's playground, and there is an underground parking facility with two levels for small cars, alleviating parking difficulties for visitors coming from afar. In the bustling, heavily polluted, and warm "urban heat island" environment of Taipei, this 26-hectare recreational "urban forest" park serves as a refreshing "lung of the city," capable of purifying the air, reducing noise, and regulating temperatures. Visitors can enjoy floral views, appreciate performances at the music stage, indulge in "forest bathing" for relaxation, and stroll through the park to fully experience its numerous beautiful sights.
