Da'an Forest Park Introduction

Da'an Forest Park is located in the Da'an District, situated in the city center, covering an area of 25.9293 hectares, and is renowned as the "Lung of the City." The main entrance square features lush flower beds filled with grass flowers and ornamental plants, integrating a Buddha statue area with a bamboo forest area to the south (planted with gourds, green bamboos, golden-thread bamboos, cinnamon bamboos, and square bamboos) to create a unique landscape. On the northwest side of the park, there is a natural pond that spans 0.7 hectares, surrounded by islands within the water, planted with golden dewdrops, red-leafed hibiscus, cannas, and soft-branched yellow cicadas. The islands are adorned with climbing vines, and koi fish swim playfully in the pond, often attracting visitors to linger by the water's edge. In the center of the park, there is an outdoor music stage, designed with natural undulating waves, accommodating nearly a thousand spectators, making it a central hub for artistic performances in Taipei. Surrounding the music stage are fragrant plant areas, including magnolias, gardenias, osmanthus, and other aromatic plants, whose pleasant scents fill the air, creating an accessible leisure area within the park. In the southeast corner of the park, one can see palm trees with a tropical flair, including royal palms, Alexander palms, bottle palms, and peacock palms, making visitors feel as if they are in a tropical oasis. The park is traversed by two main pathways running east to west and one main pathway running north to south, lined with trees and shrubs interspersed with flowerbeds that enhance the park's scenic beauty. The park is designed in a forest-type structure, providing a pleasing green environment for visitors, with multiple pavilions and resting areas available for relaxation. Along the Jingguo South Road, the park features bougainvillea, which bursts into colorful bloom and resembles vibrant ribbons, enhancing the beauty of the park. As Da'an Forest Park is located in the city center, it sees a daily influx of visitors, especially in the mornings and during sunset, when nearby residents flock to the park for exercise, walks, dancing, and playtime. Within the park, there is a children's play area, along with an underground parking lot that has two levels for small vehicles, relieving parking issues for incoming visitors. In the densely populated, pollution-stricken, and "urban heat island effect" afflicted city of Taipei, this 26-hectare leisure-oriented "urban forest" park serves as a refreshing "Lung of the City," helping to purify the air, reduce noise, and moderate temperatures. Visitors can enjoy floral displays and performances at the music stage, immersing themselves in "forest bathing" to rejuvenate their body and mind. Strolling through the park reveals beautiful scenery at every turn, making the park's functions fully realized.
