Bihuhu Park Introduction

After getting off at the WenDe Station of the MRT Dahu Line, turn into WenDe Road Lane 101 and proceed about 200 meters to see the Dahu Lake surrounded by lush mountains, which is the Bihu Park. Bihu Park is located at No. 175, Section 2, Neihu Road, Neihu District, Taipei City, near the National Taiwan University of Arts, covering an area of more than 13 hectares. The park's "Da Pi Lake" encompasses about 8 hectares and was once the water source for agricultural irrigation. Nestled in the Neihu District, Bihu Park serves as a backyard for local residents and is one of just two scenic parks in Taipei with a large lake. The park is situated by the mountains and water, featuring a harmonious landscape of verdant mountains and lake waters, creating a tranquil beauty that often leaves a lasting impression on visitors. Since its establishment in 1987, facilities such as green beautification on the east side of the lake, the addition of a Chinese-style pavilion, a winding bridge, and a lakeside walking path have been gradually completed. The lake’s surroundings are planted with ornamental plants, such as fringe trees, willows, bald cypress, white bee trees, golden trumpet trees, royal poinciana, hibiscus, azaleas, and dwarf elephant grass. In spring and summer, colorful butterflies flutter about, enhancing the scenic beauty of the mountains and lake. The park features a management center (commonly referred to as the "Little White House"), a reading room on the first floor for public use, and includes one children's playground, one tennis court, and one swimming pool. Additionally, fishing zones are planned along the lakeshore, allowing visitors to enjoy the scenery and engage in leisure activities like fishing. There are also six hiking trails leading up the mountains, where dense canopies provide shade, and pavilions blend into the surroundings, resulting in a serene environment. Standing atop the peak offers a panoramic view of the beautiful Bihu scenery, making it an ideal place for recreation, mountain climbing, and relaxation. Source: Neihu District Office website
