Songshan Cultural and Creative Park Introduction
Songshan Cultural and Creative Park was formerly the Songshan Tobacco Factory, built in 1937 during the Japanese occupation, which represented Taiwan's modernization and was the first professional cigarette factory in the country. The architectural style of the park is primarily "Japanese early modernism," featuring simple yet exquisite designs with clean lines, large windows, and carefully crafted pebble-washed walls. Although production ceased in 1998, the site was designated a municipal historical site in 2001, allowing this historical area to be well-preserved and transformed into a contemporary cultural and creative hub. Today, this old factory has successfully transformed into the heart of Taiwan's creative energy.
