Taiwan Presbyterian Church - Chungshan Church Introduction
Chung Shan Church is a Christian church built by the Japanese, with the archway at the main entrance inscribed with "Foundation laid in March 1937." It was originally the Daishocho Church of the Nippon Sei Ko Kai (the Anglican Church in Japan) and served for the worship of Japanese believers living in the area around Taisho Street at that time. The exterior is designed in the English Gothic style, and when viewed from above, the church's roof takes the shape of a cross, featuring pointed arches, corner stones, and buttresses, all of which are well-preserved and hold architectural value.
