Wenchang Street_Furniture Street Introduction

Wenchang Street is located at the intersection of Xinyi Road and Linjiang Street, serving as the center of the traditional market and is a famous furniture street in Taipei. In the early days, it mainly consisted of shops selling materials like wood, hardware, and cement, with only a few furniture stores. Some of these furniture shops would even make sofas on-site and sell them directly. Later, as illegal structures were demolished in Daan Forest Park, nearby furniture businesses began to relocate here, gradually forming today’s unique street scene with over a hundred furniture stores, giving rise to the nickname "furniture street." Currently, under the city government's planning, this furniture street features a blend of traditional streetscape and modern decor, showcasing a unique cultural and economic background that meets both leisure and shopping needs. The variety of furniture available here is extensive, ranging from European and Chinese styles to trendy and vintage designs, including everything from large furniture to miniature home decor. If you're looking for creative furniture that fits your personality, this is definitely the place to visit.
