Wenchang Street_Furniture Street Introduction
Wenchang Street is located at the center of the Traditional Market on Xin Yi Road and Lin Jiang Street, and it is a famous furniture street in Taipei. In the early days, this area mainly housed businesses selling wood, hardware, cement, and other decorative materials, with only a few furniture stores. Some of these furniture shops would even create sofas on-site and sell them directly. Later, due to the demolition of illegal structures in Daan Forest Park, nearby furniture businesses moved here, gradually forming the unique street scene with over a hundred furniture stores that we see today, thus earning the title of "furniture street." Currently, under the planning of the city government, this furniture street features a blend of traditional roads and modern decorations, showcasing a unique cultural and economic background while catering to both leisure and shopping needs. The furniture here is quite diverse, ranging from European, Chinese, trendy, to vintage styles, with everything from large furniture to mini home decor. If you’re looking for creative furniture that suits your personality, this is definitely the place to come.
