Rainbow Runway Introduction
In September 2020, the second dazzling rainbow landscape in Taipei City, known as the "Rainbow Starting Line," was born in the East District of Taipei City! It is located in front of the Taipei City Hall at the Citizen Plaza. This rainbow landscape is designed in a runway-like form, extending from the city hall towards the council, cleverly marking a line that resembles a starting point for a journey towards happiness. It not only reiterates Taipei City's commitment to promoting gender equality but also resonates with the annual Taiwan LGBT Pride March that takes place in front of the city hall. The rainbow landscape seems to embody the hopes and passions of everyone, encouraging people to step firmly and steadily towards the road of happiness.
