Tonghua Park Introduction

This park is located at the intersection of Wenchang Street and Tonghua Street and was established in 1987, originally named "Wen-Tung Park," later changed to "Tonghua Park." The outer section of Tonghua Park on Wenchang Street is famous for being "Furniture Street" in Taipei, where various furniture stores can be found. Not far away is the Linjiang Street Night Market, known for its Hakka culture, which is a popular night market in Taipei featuring nearly 200 stalls offering a variety of delicious snacks that keep many Taipei residents coming back. At the entrance of Tonghua Park, seasonal flowering plants are planted, changing with the seasons. The bougainvillea on the trellis bursts into red flowers during its blooming season, adding vibrant colors to the park. Although the overall planning of the park has a lot of hard pavement, trees such as the golden shower tree, banyan, and magnolia provide good shade with their dense foliage. Although the light is insufficient under the trees, shade-tolerant plants like zoysia, nephrolepis, dracaena, and ti plant have been arranged to enrich the park's ecosystem.
