Chung Tai Museum of Fine Arts Introduction
Chung Tai Museum was established in 2016, marking an important milestone in the promotion of architectural culture in Taiwan, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Chung Tai Construction and the 10th anniversary of the Chung Tai Foundation. The museum aspires to be a new type of think tank, catalyst, and platform that takes on corporate social responsibility and responds to the needs of 21st-century society; it continues the foundation's belief of "A better tomorrow," making it the first museum in Taiwan focused on the themes of "the future" and "urbanism." Located in the Taipei metropolitan area, the Chung Tai Museum is also the venue for the foundation's first Tomorrow Museum exhibition, which has returned to its origins in the city after ten years of moving and evolving within the urban environment, becoming a "museum at the center of the city and life." As a young new museum, Chung Tai Museum aims to be a space that explores the future and transcends disciplines. Future programming will focus on three major directions: "future issues," "urban architecture," and "contemporary art." The interior space of Chung Tai Museum was designed by Japanese master designer Jun Aoki, and the identification system was designed by Atsuki Kikuchi, making it a collaborative effort between two distinguished designers in Taiwan's first museum. Chung Tai Museum embodies a delicate yet robust taste combined with youthful and avant-garde vitality, set to become a new landmark for architecture and cultural arts in Taipei, invigorating the city's cultural dynamism.
