Chung Tai Museum of Fine Arts Introduction
The Chou Tai Art Museum was established in 2016 as an important milestone in the promotion of architectural culture in Taiwan, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Chou Tai Construction and the 10th anniversary of the Chou Tai Foundation. The museum aspires to become a new type of think tank, catalyst, and platform that embodies corporate social responsibility while responding to the needs of 21st-century society. Upholding the Chou Tai Cultural and Arts Foundation's belief in "A better tomorrow," it becomes the first museum in Taiwan focused on issues of "the future" and "urbanism." Located in the Taipei metropolitan area, the Chou Tai Art Museum is also the venue for the Foundation's first Tomorrow Museum exhibition. After ten years of exhibitions around the city, it has returned to its roots, establishing itself as a "museum in the center of the city and everyday life." As a young and innovative institution, the Chou Tai Art Museum aims to explore future trends and interdisciplinary art. Future programming will focus on three main directions: "Future Issues," "Urban Architecture," and "Contemporary Art." The interior space of the museum is designed by Japanese master architect Jun Aoki, while the identity system is designed by Atsuki Kikuchi, marking the first collaboration between these two renowned figures in a museum in Taiwan. The Chou Tai Art Museum combines refined elegance with youthful vitality, becoming a new landmark for architecture and cultural arts in Taipei, rejuvenating the city's cultural landscape.
