Chung Tai Museum of Fine Arts Introduction
Chung Tai Museum was established in 2016, marking an important milestone in the promotion of architectural culture in Taiwan, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Chung Tai Construction and the 10th anniversary of the Chung Tai Foundation. The museum aspires to become a new form of think tank, catalyst, and platform that undertakes corporate social responsibility and responds to the needs of 21st-century society. Continuing the belief of the Chung Tai Cultural and Arts Foundation in "A better tomorrow," it is the first museum in Taiwan focused on the themes of "the future" and "urbanism." Located in the Taipei metropolitan area, Chung Tai Museum is also the venue for the foundation's first "Museum of Tomorrow" exhibition, returning to its roots after ten years of roaming and performing in the city to establish itself as "a museum at the center of the city and life." As a young and new museum, Chung Tai Museum will be a space for exploring the future and interdisciplinary art. Future events will focus on three major directions: "Future Issues," "Urban Architecture," and "Contemporary Art." The interior space of the museum was designed by Japanese master Jun Aoki, with the identity system designed by Atsuki Kikuchi, marking the first collaborative effort of these two in a museum in Taiwan. With its refined taste and youthful vibrancy, Chung Tai Museum will become a new landmark in Taipei's architecture and cultural arts, energizing the city's cultural vitality.
