Neigou Mountain Cuihu Trail Introduction
The Cuifeng Trail connects to the Neigou Mountain Trail in Xizhi, attracting many visitors during the Tung Blossom Season for flower viewing. The trail consists mostly of gently sloping, easy-to-walk dirt paths, and can be accessed from the second entrance of the Neigou Mountain Trail. The Cuifeng Trail was originally a connecting path for early mining activities. After the mining operation was ceased, it was left abandoned for a period, but after renovations, it transformed into a hiking trail. Along the way, you can see the remains of the Beigang No. 2 Mine, which was an important coal mine in Xizhi during its peak. After its abandonment, vines gradually covered the traces of the mine, and now only ruins remain to give glimpses into its former glory. There is also the "Cuifeng," a small reservoir that once served as a water source for miners, which, despite its diminutive size today, was a crucial water source for them in the past.
