Fourth Market Introduction
The historical building "Fourth Market," located on Nanjing Road in the East District of Taichung, officially opened on December 4, 2021, after the city government introduced private resources and creative initiatives for revitalization. It has been transformed into a site that combines youth entrepreneurship and cultural significance. The exterior of the Fourth Market retains the roof of the Prince's Pavilion, while the interior features stainless steel tables and chairs, weathered market signs, and a reading area, creating a harmonious space. Its unique style has made it a popular check-in spot in Taichung. The venue occasionally hosts exhibitions on history and culture, themed activities related to comics and illustrations, and local youth entrepreneurship markets, combining comic illustration themes and local agricultural products for sale as well as light meals, creating a space for local cultural experiences and recreational activities in the East District. At the same time, it functions to preserve and revitalize historical architecture and support youth entrepreneurship.
