Fourth Market Introduction
Located on Nanjing Road in the East District of Taichung City, the historical building "Fourth Market" officially opened for operation on December 4, 2021, after the city government introduced private resources and creative revitalization. It has been transformed into a site that combines youth entrepreneurship and cultural richness. The exterior of the historical building maintains the roof of the Prince Building, while the interior features stainless steel tables and chairs, old market signs, and a reading area for the culturally inclined, creating a diverse space. Its unique style has made it a popular spot for photos in Taichung. The venue regularly hosts historical and cultural exhibitions, themed events on comics and illustrations, as well as local youth markets. It combines comic illustration themes with local agricultural products for sales and light food and beverage services, creating a space that offers local cultural experiences alongside leisure and entertainment, while also preserving and revitalizing historical buildings and supporting youth entrepreneurship. Other services (held irregularly, with event announcements on the Fourth Market Facebook fan page) include market tours, local ingredient experiences, parent-child storytelling, and themed book exhibitions.
