The Nanzi community was originally a transfer station for Taiwan Sugar Corporation to transport sugarcane and passengers, focusing on the sugar and agriculture industries. In 2013, artists Liao Yao-Hsing and Liao Hui-Cun painted the rural scenery and railway culture of the local Nanzi community into 3D murals, making the community vibrant and colorful.
