Gangwei Shun Tian Temple Introduction
The Dashi Rescue Emperor's Ancestral Port Shuntian Temple is dedicated to Guan Sheng Di Jun. It is said that during the Kangxi era, the early settlers from Zhangzhou, Fujian, brought the deity to Taiwan to establish the temple. After several renovations, the current temple appearance was established during the reconstruction in the 77th year of the Republic. Every year on the 13th day of the 5th lunar month, the local residents celebrate the Emperor's birthday with theatrical performances and worship.
