Doshui Relief Deity Shrine, also known as the Shuntian Temple, is dedicated to the worship of Guansheng Emperor. It is believed that during the Kangxi period, immigrants from Zhao'an County, Zhangzhou, Fujian, brought the deity to Taiwan for temple construction. The temple has undergone several renovations, with its current appearance established during reconstruction in 1988. Every year on the 13th day of the fifth lunar month, locals celebrate the emperor's birthday with performances and rituals.

Gangwei Shuntian Temple Introduction

The Shentian Temple at Guankou in Dazhu is dedicated to the worship of Guansheng Emperor. It is said that during the Kangxi period, early settlers from Zhao'an County in Zhangzhou, Fujian, brought the deity to Taiwan and established the temple. After several renovations, the current structure was established during the reconstruction in the 77th year of the Republic of China. Every year on the 13th day of the fifth lunar month, the local residents celebrate the emperor's birthday with performances and worship.
