The fishing village is over three thousand years old, and every four years, it holds a festival for the honored deities of Wanggang Town Anfu, namely Xingfu Qiansui, Mofu Qiansui, and Sufu Qiansui. This tradition originates from the Ding family of Yingpu, Haikou Village in Taixi. Every four years, the town of Anfu invites Master Wu Zongming from Mailiao to create a Quanzhou-style paper-mache king boat to send off the five-year Qiansui.

Wengangkeng Anfu Introduction

The fishing village is three thousand years old, and every four years, it welcomes the King Moth from the town of Zhen'an, which worships the deities of Xingfu Qiansui, Mofu Qiansui, and Sufu Qiansui. This tradition originally comes from the Ding family of the salt-producing Wuzhu clan in Haikou Village, Taixi. Every four years, Zhen'an would invite Master Wu Zongming from Mailiao to create a Quanzhou-style paper mache king boat to see off the deities for five years.
