Chen Zhonglu Feather Duster Introduction
For sixty years, the only remaining handmade feather dusters used for cleaning have become quite rare in ordinary households. However, in a courtyard-style residence in Pu Yan Township, the owner, Chen Zhonglu, still preserves this traditional craftsmanship, turning it into an alternative leisure tourism activity. On weekdays, student groups visit for outdoor education, while on weekends, tourists from all over Taiwan come to visit. This peaceful rural community has revived its vibrancy thanks to these feather dusters. Many parents are concerned that their children spend too much time on computers and smartphones, which distracts them from learning. Here, working together to create feather dusters not only strengthens the parent-child bond but also allows children to practice focusing on completing a task, enhancing their sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, which greatly contributes to stabilizing their learning.
