Zhiping Introduction
Zhiping is located at the southernmost part of Green Island, adjacent to the "Green Island Camping Area." From the trail beside the camping area, one can reach the lagoon "Zhiping" at the coastline. "Zhiping" is a tide pool formed by coral reefs and is also the site of a famous lagoon in Green Island, featuring the most complete lagoon topography and coral reef vegetation in the area, as well as lush plants like the seagrass and precious terrestrial hermit crabs. Despite the turbulent waves offshore, the inner lagoon remains calm and reflects a tranquil surface, resembling a sleeping lake, nestled between the outer coral reef and the inner sandy beach. The shadows of the seagrass thickets are mirrored on the placid water, and the pure white sands line the water's bottom. The picturesque tropical coastal scenery speaks for itself.
