Ziping Introduction
Zhiping is located at the southernmost point of Lanyu (Green Island), adjacent to the "Green Island Camping Area." From the trail next to the camping area, one can access the lagoon "Zhiping" by the coast. "Zhiping" is a tidal pool formed by coral reefs and is a famous lagoon in Lanyu, featuring the most complete lagoon topography and coral reef communities on the island, along with lush plants such as water hyacinth and precious land hermit crabs. Despite the turbulent waves in the open sea, the inner lagoon remains as calm as a mirror, resembling a sleeping lake, gently lying between the outer coral reefs and the inner sandy beaches. The reflections of the water hyacinth thickets can be seen on the tranquil water surface, and the pure white sand is spread across the water bed. The enchanting scenery of the tropical coast speaks for itself.
