Sailboat Nose Grassland Introduction
Entering from the pathway next to the ticket booth of Sunrise Hot Springs and climbing along the trail, you will arrive at the Sail Cape Grassland, known as the "Green Island Carpet." Sail Cape is located at the southeast corner of Green Island, where the flat coastal plateau is covered with lush green grass. The scenery, with its blue sky and turquoise sea surrounding it, creates a perfect view that seems to stretch endlessly in green and blue. The cliffs at the edge of the grassland overlook Sunrise Hot Springs and Shicengping, making it one of the best spots on Green Island to enjoy sunrises and moonrises while basking in the sea breeze. Looking north from Sail Cape, you can see the distant sea cliffs and the towering unique rocks around Shicengping standing along the coastline; nearby, you can overlook the hot spring pools and modern facilities of Sunrise Hot Springs from above. To the west lies the vast coral skirt reef of Baisha Bay. On clear days, you can see Lanyu at the southern horizon where the sea meets the sky, making it an excellent spot for witnessing sunrises on Green Island. The wonderful scenery is truly captivating.
