The Sailboat Nose is located at the southeast corner of Green Island, known as the "Green Island Carpet." Due to its prominent terrain and elevated position above the surrounding areas, it is part of the wind corridor where the northeast monsoon can directly penetrate. Coupled with subsequent grazing, this has formed a low grassland landscape. The cliffs at the edge of the grassland offer a view of the Sunrise Hot Springs and Sea Cucumber Plain, making it one of the best spots on Green Island to appreciate the sunrise, moonrise, and enjoy the sea breeze.

Sailboat Nose Grassland Introduction

Walk along the small path next to the ticket booth of the Sunrise Hot Springs, and you will reach the Sail Rock Grassland, known as the "Green Island Carpet." Located at the southeast corner of Green Island, Sail Rock features a flat coastal plateau covered in lush grass, creating an excellent view where green meets blue with no visible end. The cliffs at the edge of the grassland offer a view of the Sunrise Hot Springs and the Seashenping area, making it one of the best spots on Green Island to admire the sunrise and moonrise while enjoying the sea breeze. Looking north from Sail Rock, one can see the cliffs and rugged rocks of the Seashenping area standing majestically along the coast; nearby, you can overlook the hot spring pools of the Sunrise Hot Springs and its modern facilities; to the west lies the expansive coral reef of White Sand Bay. On clear days, you can see Orchid Island at the southern horizon, making it an excellent spot on Green Island for sunrise viewing, with breathtaking scenery that leaves lasting impressions.

Transportation Methods：Southbound: Take Hualien Bus from Hualien Train Station towards Fengbin, Jingpu, or Taitung direction, get off at Fugang Fishing Port Station, then walk to Fugang Fishing Port and transfer to a ferry to Green Island. Northbound: Take Taiwan Tourist Shuttle East Coast Line or Dongdong Bus from Taitung Train Station, get off at Fugang Fishing Port Station, then walk to Fugang Fishing Port and transfer to a ferry to Green Island. Green Island: There is a circular bus on the island, take the bus to get off at Chaorih Hot Springs, walk into the small path next to the ticket office of Chaorih Hot Springs (Inquiry phone: 089-672510).

Remarks：1. The Sailing Nose is a prominent cape with a high altitude and strong sea winds. Please be cautious not to get too close to the cliffs for safety. 2. Take care of the natural environment and maintain cleanliness. 3. The summer sun and winter cold wind can be quite intense, so please take precautions.
