Sailboat Nose Grassland Introduction
From the ticket office next to Sunrise Hot Springs, you can take a small path that leads up to the Sail Rock Grassland, known as the "Green Island Carpet." Sail Rock is located at the southeastern corner of Green Island, where a flat coastal plateau is covered in lush green grass. This creates a breathtaking scene with the deep blue sky and sea, forming an unparalleled view of endless green and blue. The cliffs at the edge of the grassland overlook Sunrise Hot Springs and Haisanping, making it one of the best spots to enjoy sunrises and moonrises on Green Island while basking in the sea breeze. Looking north from Sail Rock, you can see the cliffs and rugged rocks around Haisanping standing tall along the coast; nearby, you can look down at the hot spring pools of Sunrise Hot Springs and the modern facilities. To the west lies the vast coral reefs of Baisha Bay. On clear days, you can see Lanyu (Orchid Island) at the southern horizon where the sea meets the sky. Sail Rock is also an excellent spot for sunrise viewing, with its splendid scenery making it hard for visitors to leave.
