Pug Dog and Sleeping Beauty Rock Introduction
Hai Sheng Ping is located in the middle section of the eastern coast of Green Island. Due to the reef terrain and the erosive action of the sea, it is dotted with unique rock formations and beautiful scenery, attracting many travelers to visit. On the trail known as the "Little Great Wall," visitors can go to the Viewing Pavilion to watch the white waves wash over the coral skirt reef in the crescent-shaped bay or gaze at Sleeping Beauty Rock and Pug Dog Rock. The stunning landscape composed of green spaces, beaches, bays, and blue seas makes it difficult to take one's eyes off, constantly marveling at nature's craftsmanship and leaving behind wonderful memories. The length of the Little Great Wall Trail is 400 meters, with a walking time of about 20 minutes round trip. The trail is built on the hillside north of Hai Sheng Ping, winding up with stone steps along the mountain ridge, resembling a miniature version of the Great Wall from a distance. Walking along this trail and taking in the beautiful surroundings is refreshing. To the south of Hai Sheng Ping, beneath the coastal cliffs, there is an independent sea-eroded pillar that looks like Confucius facing the wall in contemplation from afar, hence it is named "Confucius Rock."
