Pug Dog and Sleeping Beauty Rock Introduction
Hai Cheng Ping is located in the middle of the eastern coast of Green Island. Due to the reef topography and the erosion of seawater, it is filled with strange rocks and beautiful scenery, attracting many travelers to visit. Walking along the pathway known as the "Little Great Wall," visitors can go to the Viewing Pavilion to watch the white waves crashing against the coral skirt reefs of the crescent-shaped bay, or gaze at Sleeping Beauty Rock and Pug Rock. The picturesque views composed of green fields, sandy beaches, bays, and blue seas make it difficult to look away, leaving visitors in awe of nature's craftsmanship and creating beautiful memories. The Little Great Wall Trail is 400 meters long with a round-trip walking time of about 20 minutes. This trail is built on the northern slope of Hai Cheng Ping, winding up along stone steps along the ridge, resembling a miniature version of the Great Wall from a distance. Walking on this path and admiring the surrounding beauty brings great tranquility. At the southern cliff of Hai Cheng Ping, there is an independent sea-eroded pillar that, from a distance, resembles Confucius facing the wall in deep thought, hence it is named "Confucius Rock."
