Pug Dog and Sleeping Beauty Rock Introduction
Hai Shen Ping is located in the mid-section of the eastern coast of Green Island. Due to the coastal reef topography and the erosive action of seawater, it is filled with peculiar rock formations and beautiful scenery, attracting many travelers to visit. Walking along the trail known as the "Little Great Wall," one can view the white waves crashing against the coral skirt reef in the crescent-shaped bay, or gaze at Sleeping Beauty Rock and Pug Dog Rock. The breathtaking scenery composed of greenery, beaches, bays, and blue seas captivates the eyes, leaving visitors in awe of nature's craftsmanship and creating wonderful memories. The Little Great Wall trail is 400 meters long and takes about 20 minutes round trip. The trail is built on the northern hillside of Hai Shen Ping, winding up along the mountain ridge with stone steps, and from a distance, it resembles a miniature version of the Great Wall of China. Walking on this path, surrounded by beautiful scenery, is truly refreshing. To the south of Hai Shen Ping, under the coastal cliffs, there is an independent sea-eroded pillar that, from afar, looks like Confucius facing the wall in deep thought, hence the name "Confucius Rock."
