Pug Dog and Sleeping Beauty Rock Introduction
Haisanping is located in the middle section of the eastern coast of Green Island. Due to the reef coastline and the erosion of seawater, it is filled with strange rocks and beautiful scenery, attracting many travelers to visit. Walking along the path known as the "Small Great Wall," visitors can reach the viewing pavilion to watch the white waves wash against the coral skirt reef and the crescent-shaped bay, or gaze at Sleeping Beauty Rock and Pug Rock. The picturesque view composed of green fields, beaches, bays, and azure ocean is hard to look away from, constantly marveling at the craftsmanship of nature and leaving behind wonderful memories. The Small Great Wall Trail is 400 meters long, with a round-trip walking time of about 20 minutes. The trail is built on the northern hillside of Haisanping, winding up along stone steps that resemble a miniature version of the Great Wall from a distance. Walking on this trail and taking in the surrounding scenery is truly refreshing. Additionally, to the south of Haisanping, beneath the cliff, there is an independent sea-eroded column that, from afar, resembles Confucius contemplating, hence the name "Confucius Rock."
