Pug Dog and Sleeping Beauty Rock Introduction
Hai Chengping is located in the middle section of the eastern coast of Green Island. Due to the coastal reef terrain and the erosive action of the sea, it is dotted with奇岩 (strange rocks) and features beautiful scenery, attracting many travelers to visit. Walking along the trail known as the "Small Great Wall," visitors can go to the viewing pavilion to watch the pure white waves wash over the coral skirt reef in the crescent-shaped bay or gaze at Sleeping Beauty Rock and Bulldog Rock. The picturesque scenery, composed of green land, beaches, bays, and blue seas, captivates the eyes and evokes continuous admiration for nature's craftsmanship, leaving behind wonderful memories. The Small Great Wall Trail is 400 meters long, with a round trip taking about 20 minutes. It is built on the hillside on the north side of Hai Chengping, winding up along a stone stairway that resembles a miniature version of the Great Wall from a distance. Walking on this trail and taking in the beautiful scenery around makes one feel refreshed. To the south of Hai Chengping, beneath the sea cliff, stands an independent sea-eroded pillar that, from afar, resembles Confucius contemplating, hence it is named "Confucius Rock."
