The villagers chose to reside in the low-lying areas according to the terrain, thus constructing this tower to guard the mountain spirit and prevent negative energy from invading the village. Another account mentions that a local villager with the surname Xu went to this hillside with a hoe to dig, which disturbed the mountain spirit, leading to a mental breakdown and incoherent speech. Following the instructions of the deity Wang Ye, a stone tower was erected to suppress the mountain spirit, ensuring the safety of the residents. The Iron Shua Stone Tower is situated on the hillside west of Xiaomen Village, serving to guide fishing boats in and out of the fishing port.
